The Pathway to Adventure Council, Boy Scouts of America serves northern Illinois and northwest Indiana. It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. In addition to our traditional programs of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing, we also impact students age 14 to 21 with our Exploring programs that are educational programs designed to partner youth with professionals to get an on-the-job, first-hand experience of the real world. The Pathway to Adventure Council, Boy Scouts of America serves over 21,000 young men and women and over 8,000 adult volunteers each year in partnership with hundreds of Chicago area and suburban schools and organizations.
