Unit Resources

Greetings Scouters!!! As we head into the holiday season and gear up for the 2017 Scouting year, it’s also time for Scouting annual unit rechartering!

On September 15 – unit leaders, committee chairs, and charter reps were emailed a Recharter Letter, Recharter Instructions, and Blast instructions. On September 27– unit leaders were emailed their unit’s rechartering ID, as well as a link to the rechartering websiteIf you are a UL, CC or COR and need any of these materials – Contact your unit commissioner, district commissioner, or your District Executive

If you need hands-on assistance each District will be hosting a local
Re-Charter Clinic, for turn-ins and additional help. Important Reminder: All registered Adult leader need to have current Youth Protection Training. The Goal of Pathway to Adventure Council is to have 85% of our Scouting Units re-charted by Dec. 15th, so there is still time. Be sure to complete your Unit’s Journey to Excellence paperwork when you turn in your completed Re-charter.

Unit Website Guidelines

We've long recognized that unit sites created by individuals at the unit level of Scouting are essentially personal, and therefore beyond the National Council's and Pathway to Adventure Council's control or liability. These are National BSA's advisory guidelines for those who publish Scouting-related sites on their own responsibility.

Social Media Best Practices
To help you develop the right tactics for your unit, we’ve put together these best practices and examples collected from fellow Scouters in our council.   You can also reach out to the PTAC Social Media Committee at PtacSocialMedia@Gmail.com. Another great resource is National BSA’s Social Media Hub: http://scoutingwire.org/marketing-and-membership-hub/social-media/.
